Kim Ann Foxman (KAF), is New York based music artist & DJ that continues to flourish by staying true to what she believes. Between her dynamic Dj sets, productions, and her latest band project, Pleasure Planet, KAF has become a prominent and influential perspective in dance music.
Hawaii born and raised, Kim Ann Foxman moved to San Francisco, California during the golden era of mid 90ʼs rave scene, where she started collecting records, DJ mixed tapes, and got her first drum machine, synth, and sampler, then started making electronic music. KAF moved to New York in 2002, where she became a staple DJ on the scene and also teamed up with Hercules & Love Affair as a vocalist for two albums and worldwide touring before choosing her own adventure.
Following her fame as a vocalist, KAF returned to her rave roots to DJing, bringing her dance floor journeys to clubs and festivals around the world, including her hometown residency at Good Room to her regular appearances at Panorama Bar. Her stream of solo releases can be found on her own labels Firehouse & SELF:TIMER, where you can also find her latest band project, Pleasure Planet.
KAF’s music, vocals and remixes have been also been featured on other labels such as Emotional Especial, Dark Entires, Public Release, and more. KAF has remixed synth pop legends, Erasure, the XX, electronic pop icon, Robyn, to Greek electronic artist Lena Platanos. Kim Ann Foxman is proving to be what Ransome Note called “one of the most influential women in dance music in this day and age.”
